Charbonnel has a long history.
Established in 1920, it is an integral part of Brantôme's history.
Yesterday
Madame Roy founded the hotel in 1920, which was then known as the Grand Hôtel. The hotel's reputation for fine dining in the Périgord region has attracted many walkers from near and far. It was only later that the name Charbonnel was introduced.
Marie and Jean Charbonnel bought the establishment. The family business went on to glory when their sons Jean-Claude and Bernard took over. A golden age that saw the Charbonnel brothers' name appear on the front of the establishment, as well as the ultimate achievement: a Michelin star.
The present day
The family spirit remains, and in 2018 the Beltrami family : Sylvie, Michael and their daughter Samantha, took over the establishment aiming to preserve the Charbonnel spirit.
Thanks to her background in the upmarket hotel industry, Samantha brings her attention to detail and a job well done. As a result, a new Charbonnel experience is offered to you, with personal assistance throughout your stay. Our mission is to provide you with an exceptional Périgord experience.
